Redundant-words-in-English

Clutters are unnecessary words that causes disturbance in writing and may sometimes damage the image of your work. Hence, when editing or revising your work, you should lookout for needless repetition and delete words and expressions that add nothing to the overall meaning of the sentence.

We tend to use various such words in English in conjunction with other words. Our concern here is with eliminating needless repetition–redundant expressions that make writing longer, not better. Some of the common redundancies in English are enlisted as follows. Although, in certain contexts, some of these phrases they sound meaningful, more often, these phrases just weigh down our writing with unnecessary words. We can eliminate the needless repetition in each case and make our writing stand out by deleting the word or phrase in parentheses.
